My friend Veda is having surgery on Wed. to replace her current defibrillator and insert leads in both the upper and lower chambers of her heart this coming Wednesday 8/20 at Washington Hospital in Fremont.
This past Friday, Veda suffered another episode of fibrillation, causing her defibrillator to shock her heart 6x. She was taking a leisurely walk to a nearby park with our sister-in-law. This one was an upper heart chamber fibrillation, liken to the previous one during our trip to DC last May-June. These past two are not the life threatening type but the defibrillator isn't programmed to recognize upper and lower chamber fibrillations. She was taken to St. Rose in Hayward and is resting. She should be released to go home today Monday and will be going to Washington on Tuesday or Wednesday.
The risks of surgery are very minimal, but we do not want to take anything for granted. We would covet your prayers for Veda and the rest of our family.
Please pray for her that it will go smoothly and that her recovery will be quick.

My brother-in-law ,Chuck, lost his wife and little girl to another man just this last weekend (8/16/08). He has been on a broken path for a long time and he will probably end his life either emediately or through hard drugs soon without God's intervention. We don't know where he is but God does so please pray for Chuck, his wife Kendra, and our neice Morgan. Thanks Ya'll.

Please pray with us for our son. He was asked to resign his job today or be terminated for untrue reasons. He has three small children. If he loses this job it will affect his future forever. Please pray with us for a special intention that he has a miracle happen and not lose his job. thank you.

My husband is trying his first entrepreneurial venture and is at a make-it-or-break-it moment in the project. He feels overwhelmed and in over his head. There is a possible solution, but only by God's grace. In addition, the added stress of his regular day job and the tightening economy is bringing out the worst in his recently diagnosed bipolar disorder. I feel like we are on a tightrope and have a 50/50 chance of making it across safely or of falling. I know we can only get through this time with God's help. Please pray that my husband will get through this difficult time and that God may bless the business and my husband's health care professionals.
